Meet Cynthia, a hairstyling virtuoso with an extraordinary 30-year career! Originating from Wyoming, she planted her creative roots in Phoenix in the early '90s, where she first earned her license. Cynthia's artistic flair graced two leading Phoenix salons, and she took center stage with weekly live makeovers on a TV morning news show! Her hair odyssey nearly spans the globe, with specialized classes in Paris, London, New York, LA, and Santa Monica. Cynthia's dedication to refining her skills is evident in the impactful artistry she brings to her work. Having nurtured a devoted clientele for nearly three decades, Cynthia has now relocated to Charleston to be closer to family. An esteemed educator, she proudly initiated the first hairstyling course at Arizona State University. Cynthia continues to enrich our team with additional classes and training. Meet Mishell, our vibrant junior stylist who brings joy and hard work to everything she does! A nature lover at heart, Mishell spends her free time mudding and taking care of her three beloved cats. Her family also raises chickens, keeping her connected to her roots. Known for her incredible work ethic and bright personality, she quickly charms everyone who crosses her path. We're thrilled to have her as part of the team - and her natural talent is sure to blow you away! 

Apprentice

Meet Emma, our vibrant junior stylist and assistant in training! She has a prized collection of playing cards from all 50 states, and has a pet crab named Bobo. Emma brings an incredibly unique charm to the salon. She chose Bohemia Salon based on the incredible vibes and glowing recommendations from her friends. Known for her great sense of humor, Emma is sure to make every appointment fun and memorable. And if you’re lucky, she might even treat you to her "insanely good" rendition of Creed’s "One Last Breath."

Meet Pam, our dedicated salon coordinator who brings warmth and a personal touch to every aspect of your experience. A devoted mother and world traveler, Pam’s adventurous spirit and heart for connection shine through in her nearly 20-year journey in the salon industry. Having worked in various salons, she has honed her ability to make every client feel not only welcome but truly at home. Pam’s expertise in salon operations and her natural creativity ensure that everything runs smoothly while adding a personal flair to every detail. Her passion for fostering a welcoming, inspiring environment makes her a key part of the Bohemia team, ensuring that your experience with us is nothing short of exceptional. In her spare time you may find Pam at her 34th Rod Stewart concert (yes she’s seen him 33 times) or at a true crime convention - either way you’re sure to find something amazing to chat with her about during your visit at Bohemia.

Meet Penny, our dynamic Salon Manager, whose journey is as vibrant as the city she now calls home. Originally from Connecticut, Penny moved to Boston after graduating college and spent 24 years building a career in marketing and management for a national shopping center developer. Being the star that she is, she eventually became the assistant to two executives, honing her organizational and leadership skills. Her love for Charleston began during a high school visit, where the city's rich history and southern charm captivated her. After years of annual visits, she made Charleston her permanent home in 2022. Outside the salon, Penny enjoys yoga, reading, walking the beach, and giving back through volunteer work with veterans' organizations and animal shelters. A lover of travel and antique hunting, she brings a wealth of experience and passion to our team, ensuring every client feels welcome and cared for.
